Online Car Auctions - Find Out How You Can Buy Vehicles at Dirt Cheap Prices

Online car auctions are regularly held in the communities in United States as well as other developed regions worldwide. If you are on a budget and want a good car, then try online auto auctions. These auctions allow individuals to buy automotives well below their market value. The auctions typically feature cars that have been seized, or they may be bargain used cars. Usually, these auctions are organized by the police, the government or auction dealers. They are available to the general public and do not require you to have any dealers' license.

Used car dealers are a group that has gained tremendous amount of business from online car auctions. They can list, for a minimal fee, all of the cars they have on offer, and people in the area or even from out of town can look, bid, or even commit to buy the vehicles in question. Rather than having to physically go to the car dealership they can see the online photos, decide whether or not the trip is worth it, and get the dealer more customers. If a customer has seen photos of a car he or she may drive 60 kilometers to take a personal look at it, when otherwise they wouldn't even consider going that far for a used car. Online car auctions bring used car dealerships far more business than they ever would have had otherwise.

One of the great benefits of buying from online car auctions especially government sponsored ones is that the cars are usually of good quality. The police seize vehicles across the country and sell them back to the public. The cars are being redistributed and aren't just being sold because they are old pieces of junk. The prices of vehicles sold on such auctions are quite attractive as well. Since the government wants to get rid of these vehicles, they make the prices low and bids often start at less than $100. Buying from these auctions also eliminates the cost of going

Tips And Help For Online Auction Sellers

Many sellers are unaware that an online auction is the same as a normal bushiness. Just like a normal business, there are laws that must be followed. That means that if you don't keep the laws, you could be liable for fines and other legal actions. The federal law says that you must only advertise your services and items honestly and accurately. You are not allowed to make bids on your own items to drive the price up. You are not allowed to make or give false testimonies about yourself at the auction website to make yourself look better. These are just a few of the federal laws, but you should get the idea. An online auction is a business and not a game. If you treat your online auctions like a business, they will treat you well too. The laws are there to protect you and me, and they are meant to be taken seriously. If you aren't ready to do that, then you'd be better off making money some other way.

Here are some tips to that can help you avoid legal problems. Let your customers know if you offer service after they buy. Explain your return policy and make it clear who pays for shipping if an item must be returned. Always include one or more photos. List some FAQ's-- it will help sales and save extra emails being sent to you. Always make clear if the item is new, used, refurbished, or "as is". • Offer a guarantee-- it helps build trust in you and people buy from people they trust. Settle the issue of who pays for shipping and if you ship internationally.

Answer all questions about your items as quickly as possible. Make sure that at the end of every auction you print out the information about the buyer, item, time, date, price and file it. Keep extra records out side of your computer and on paper. Save all the copies of the emails that you receive from your buyers and auction site. They could be a big help in the future.

Make sure that you contact each buyer as soon as the auction is over. Confirm everything again such as the total cost, shipping address, and where they need to make their payment. Don't forget to thank them for their purchase and remember that this is also a good time to invite them to visit your website if you have one! It's much easier to sell something to an existing customer than to find a new one. Treat them well and they will come back again with open wallets!

Run your online auction like a business and watch it grow. The web is full of people who make big time money with online auctions. You can be one of them, but lay a good foundation, be honest and latter you'll be glad you did. You are where you are today because of all the decisions you made in the past. Make good decisions today and you'll have a better business tomorrow. Make sense?

Online Auctions - Learn the fundamental Business Plan

Many a times we find people fail in business and going bankrupt. If we dwell deeper for reasons, we find that the people venture into business without putting together a business plan in place. For any business to succeed it is imperative that we have a good business plan before we launch into it. Over the years the online auction business has taken the world by storm. And to sustain and succeed in the competitive online auction business, we must act in line with the business plan we create for our business.

From my own personal experiences, I tried to put together what it takes to create a business and how should we go about with it, that I’m sharing with you today.

The online auction sites are an excellent to sell a product for a good price. What makes it so different from the conventional stores and malls is you have all the time in the world to surf the listings and more so, the bidding takes place for days not minutes. It is an excellent opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to make a successful business by selling real estate properties to use cars if you have the persistence and the will to do it.

The Fundamental Idea

Basically your primary role is to play an intermediary role of a catalyst helping people buy products of their choice. To get started, you don’t need to stock items for you can start placing drop shipper’s items on auction sites. This concept is by those who don’t wish to stock inventory of products sold for future delivery through mail order, catalogues and Internet Advertising. When you send single unit orders to the manufacturers or major stock distributors, they in turn ship the item directly to the customers found at online auction, benefiting them by savings on advertising and costs to middlemen. This way your stocking inventory risks are minimized with added savings on storage, insurance, overhead and keeping them until sold.

Advantages:

Starting a business with minimum capital. You lose a few dollars in eBay fees if your items don’t sell.

Disadvantages:

The hindrance is no public information on general sales methods and techniques used. Time is essence, you’re required to work all the time to run the business, since this is not a passive income method.

Mistakes to Avoid:

Keep in mind the days when auctions are in full swing, usually on Sunday evenings. A wrong auction expiration time could be fatal.

Give adequate attention to your listings. Provide complete information to the prospective bidders so that they can act fast. Avoid flashy designs and animated texts. They only make customers irritating, resulting in loss of business.

People usually don’t bid on Reserve. Avoid it. Obviously the customers don’t like to receive a message ‘Reserve not yet met’ message.

The fundamental rule for any business is having a Business Plan. The fundamentals must be strong. Have a definite business plan and work accordingly.

Stability is the key. Your business model must be stable. Keeping changing the suppliers and manufacturers otherwise you could get bogged down with a few only.

How to Sell Products Online Via Ebay Or Other Auction Sites

If you are cleaning your attic and found several things that you no longer need, consider selling them online instead of just throwing them away so you can turn them to cold cash. Here's how you can do that:

1. Create a blog or a website. If you don't have much money to spare, you can go with free platforms that will allow you to build your own space in the internet without shelling out a single dime. You will need a site where you can showcase your offerings and where you can easily get connected with your potential clients. Ensure that your site is well-designed (you can use ready-to-use, easy-to-use free templates), easy to navigate, loads quickly, and easy to find online so you can easily boost your sales and revenue.

2. Use photos. Based on statistics, online users are most likely to buy a product if they have an idea on what it looks like. Using your digital camera and your creativeness, capture your items using all angles. Remember, you need to make your products look very enticing so you can lure online users to make a purchase. Ensure that your photos are clear and crisp.

3. Provide detailed descriptions. Of course, online users would want to know what if they will get their money's worth once they buy your products. That is why, it very crucial that you give these people very detailed descriptions of your offerings. If you are selling gadgets like iPod, digital camera, mobile phone, etc. it is important that you indicate the model, the date of manufacture, the flaws, etc.

Be very honest when writing your product descriptions as you don't want to mislead your customers.

4. Offer your products for very competitive price. You can get more attention online if you can offer your products for a very low, low price. This will instantly make online users feel that they will get great value for their money and they will surely swipe their credit cards in a heart beat.

5. Offer great customer service support. If you are considering making this endeavor your main source of living, you better make sure that you can lure your customers to come back for more so you can increase your revenue per client. You can do this by giving these people great experience each time they transact with you.

Tips For Online Coin Auction Enthusiasts

Coins are fascinating mementoes of history, sentiment and art. Coins vary in sizes, shapes and design. Art-lovers love to paint on it. Scientists love to tinker on its material, which are usually tough and long-lasting. Kids love to hear the ringing sound when it collides with their piggy banks and trinkets. Some people make galleries out of it. I even find some ancestors lovingly giving them through the generations of family members just to give a memory reminder from their not so distant past.

There are coins which are just meant to be treasured and not exchanged for any monetary value. But apparently, even the most rugged and sentimental looking coins which no longer has economic monetary relevance has still not lost its money-generating charm, thanks to the influence of online coin auctions.

Believe it or not, a lot of people would be more than willing to trade wads of paper bills just to get a piece or two of the more exotic finds in the coin depositories available in antique shops online and offline. A good question to consider: How would you know if it’s worth it? That is a question of discernment and of quality.

I can't blame coin aficionados who take their collection to the next level. And there's no telling how far they would go just to be able to make their much-anticipated and regulated quest for the exotic pieces. There are actually online coin auctions available for the most enthusiastic coin seeker. And online is the best place to connect all tribes and regions and thus, have more opportunity for variety, competition and quality.

In participating in any online coin auctions, knowledge of the household rules is a must. It varies from site to site and just like shampoo for your particular hair type, you would need to do a bit of searching for the site which will best suit your coin fancying needs. There are different subcultures in the search for old and new coin galleries. Some would prefer the European coins over the Asian ones. There are different specific markets for every website. Every coin collecting online bidder must be willing to search through various threads in order to get to the right auctioning group.

Of course, one rule of thumb is that if something is too good to be true, then it most certainly is. Be very aware that some scammers can get very deceptive and lead you to give more information in exchange for nothing but sugarcoated promises. This is where proper use of available information comes in. If there is not adequate information regarding the person or company that you intend to do business with, it would be most ideal to hold your horses and tough it out in the online coin auction scene than set yourself out for disaster.

In making use of coin auctions online, being specific would definitely save you lots of precious time. If you already have an idea on the make, grade and size of the coins you are looking for, searching for the perfect group which caters to that particular type would not be so hard.

Also check for latest updates on the website. If it seemed like a considerable amount of time since the website was updated, you might think twice about trying to avail some coins from there. Some websites are just abandoned and without any formal announcement whatsoever that it stopped its operations. The best bet for any beginning online coin buyer is to find that site where there is always an update or it is bustling with activity. It would also help to build a network first before investing. Advice from the pros to the business might be more than helpful than any other information from write-ups combined. Besides, not all bidding rules are written out for you to read. There are some unwritten norms that you will have to fish out from the people involved before you take the plunge.

Coin collecting is a very rewarding hobby, as proven by coin collectors who convene and stay together online to continually improve and modernize this age-old trading industry. True, you may be trading coins as extinct as the dinosaurs, but your savvy in bidding and scoring the best of the best among the various coins need not be as extinct.

Online Auctions – How to Add an Audio Clip to Your Ebay Auction

The recent trend to attract al lot of bidders online is adding an audio clip to your Ebay auctions. An audio clip is a personal message by the website owner to the potential bidder explaining about your product. Personalization is considered a very important marketing technique because we need to remind the customer that he is thought of as a valued customer not as another sale or another sales figure. A personalized touch in Marketing works well and is very refreshing.

In the audio clip you are using your own voice to explain to the potential bidder about the product, you are communicating to them your refund policy and giving them your contact information. It is a means to establish a rapport with the bidder. Adding audio clips allows you to market your product aggressively, expressing emotions and excitement.

How do you add an audio clip to a website? The simplest way would be to download a .wav or MP3 file to a website and establish a link to the file. When the bidder clicks on the link the bidder’s computer will pay the file with the audio player automatically. However the bidders computer must recognize the file or else it will not play. This is the main drawback of this technique.

There are several software programs and websites, which perform the same task of adding audio to your Ebay auctions.

For instance Audio Maker Pro – http://audiomaker.thynke.com Sound Streamer – http://soundstreamer.thynke.com which is more economical.

Many websites charge a monthly fee or a one-time fee for the use of the program. You could also have a trial or a demo version to check how it works for which they charge a nominal amount.

Adding an audio clip to your Ebay can make it possible to get the highest possible profits from your Ebay auctions. So go ahead and install an audio clip to your web site and encourage the buyer to take advantage of your offer.

If the price is right you can end up with memorabilia that would have been unthinkable to obtain years ago. It is possible to make a great living off of buying and selling sports memorabilia online and many have found this to be a very lucrative business that can be run from a home office with an internet connection. I personally have become a online day sports memorabilia trader and enjoy the fact that I can run this business from home and make a decent profitable living.

Choosing Between Paid and Free Online Auction Sites

For those individuals who want to sell their wares and products over the Internet, they can take full advantage of auction sites. There are free and paid auction sites that they can join. Also, online auction sites list the products in categories so that users can easily search for what they want, and sellers can easily locate which category their products most likely fit.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Free and Paid Online Auction Sites

Free online auction sites do not require any fee before you become a member. You need only to exert effort and invest in time to get your products posted there. Free online auction sites are also more lenient than paid sites, allowing sellers and bidders to transact businesses personally and outside the site. But one disadvantage about free auction sites though is that you are only given limited slots or limited image hosting space to post your products since most of these free auction sites are small.

Paid auction sites, on the other hand, obviously require a membership fee, but once you have joined a paid auction site, you enjoy its full benefits like unlimited slots for your products. You can even post pictures of your items since they have a larger database than free auction sites. Their disadvantage though is that transactions are done within their site alone.

What You Should Know

Selling and buying at auction sites are fun since you most likely will find what you are looking for, but before you do that, here are some things you should know.

You should read the guidelines and rules of the auction site you will choose. Because you have the risk of not getting the item you want from the seller, it is important that you understand where the online auction site stands on an event like this. The same goes for the seller. He gets a high bid but then the buyer decides not to purchase the item.

Be wary of who you are dealing with. It is best to use another email than the one you always use so that you will not inadvertently reveal any personal information. Before making a purchase, it is also recommended that you review the testimonials from other buyers about the seller. It is how you can best gauge a buyer,s credibility.

For sellers, it is important that you answer questions any buyer might have like item and shipping costs as it is considered unprofessional if you delay things like this or not give a reply.

Lastly, never disclose your password to anybody so as to protect your personal information and your wallet.

Starting a Home Auction Business Selling Online

If you want to work from home but have no idea what type of business to start. Then I suggest researching Online Auctions. Selling in online auctions is very easy to do, and can provide you with a very good income. There are quiet a few online auction sites you can start selling on for example, Amazon which is a very well known site to sell your products on and their very easy to get an account set up and start selling with. Ebay is the worlds largest auction site online today almost everyone would say they know about Ebay. Auction sites acts as a large market place for businesses and individuals to auction off their products for profit.

To get started you will need to sign up with the site by setting up an account, Amazon have a monthly subscription fee of $39.99 per month, plus referral fees all of these fees are very low cost. Once you have your account set up you can upload your products picture and description, set the price for your product or items and Amazon will have them shown to their million of customers. When someone purchases one of your products or items, Amazon will send you an email alert informing you of the purchase. You will then package the product or item and ship it to the customer; once that is done Amazon will transfer the money for your purchase to your account.

Another auction site to check out is Bid On USA, but unlike Amazon who charge a monthly subscription fee. Bid On USA offer free membership, you just have to set up an account with them, upload your product picture and descriptions, set your pricing for the item or product and start selling them to the public. They charge no listing fees which will allow you to list your products or items at a much lower price than what you would with Amazon, and that in turn allows you to sell your product or item at a lower price. Therefore, allowing you to get more sales because we all know that everyone love low prices and sales.

Online auction sites have become very popular in the internet world, and can be an exciting online business. Auctions sites have hundreds of categories allowing you a very wide variety of areas to list your products and items in. Products and items can be listed for bidding or they can be listed for buy now. By having your products bided on you may end up getting more or you may end up getting less than what you want for the product selling.

Finally, you must build a solid reputation for your auction business, by making sure you ship your products or items promptly, being ready to address any questions or concerns your customers may have about the product or items their interested in purchasing, and always try to resolve any complaints quickly so that you can retain a positive reputation. Although you may be working your business from home, it is still a business and you must be professional in you dealings with your customers. By establishing a trustful reputation more people will feel that it is safe to buy your products and your customer base will start to grow, and so will your income.

Photographing Jewelry for Online Auctions

I am still amazed how many photos in online auctions for sometimes quite expensive jewelry are too blurry and out of focus to let potential buyers see clearly what they are bidding on.

Would you bid hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a vague blob that is supposed to be a diamond ring?
Here is what you will need to take improved photos of your jewelry with your digital camera:

1. A tripod (holding the camera in your hand will introduce some blur!)

2. Two or three worklights with 100 W bulbs (can be found at a hardware store for under $10 each)

3. A translucent plastic storage box to set up as a "stage", in which the object is placed on a display stand or jewelry bust

4. Several pieces of silky cloth as backdrops

You do not need to get a top-of-the-line digital camera with 5 Megapixels or more, but the camera should have a macro setting and should let you adjust the white balance to compensate for different lighting condition. Recharagable batteries are a must, as digital cameras go through batteries quickly, and you could easily spend a lot of money on batteries otherwise.

The plastic box setup, with worklights shining through the sides provides soft shadows, and you can use an extra worklight from the front or top when needed. Do not use your camera's flash (it tends to make small objects appear flat), and set the white balance to the type of lighting you are using (see your camera's manual). Some cloth (particularly the kind used for linings) in a nice neutral color (grey, light blue, etc.) makes for an attractive background.

These tips should improve your auction photos, and best of all, they do not require a large investment.

Tithing and Online Charity Auctions

Tithing is the practice of giving away a proportion of your income to charitable causes. The practice is a very ancient one but is still part of the fundraising programmes of many charitable organisations, in particular religious institutions. The amounts donated can vary but is usually 10% - the original meaning of tithe is tenth.

This method of donating is not for everyone and does raise some ethical issues. Some people dislike the practice intensely and feel it encourages feelings of guilt and compulsion that are not healthy. Others however enjoy the feeling of regular commitment.

For those uncomfortable with the concept. Or those who feel they cannot cope with the financial implications, there are alternatives such as giving time, labour or gifts in kind rather than money.

Well tithing may seem old fashioned but recently the increasing popularity of online charity auctions has given new legs to the idea most notably through eBay.

Online charity auctions are regularly used by all sorts of charity organisations and allow non profits to raise more money in less time. Whilst also advertising their cause and raising their profile. There are many different auction hosts but eBay for Charity have put together a very good package. Any charity organisation can sign up and the process is simple and straightforward.

This is probably the easiest way to run an online charity auction. Once registered not only can organisations list their own items at preferential rates. But also charity supporters, be they individuals or businesses can donate a proportion of any of their own sales to a charity of their choice.

Every eBay for Charity item is marked with a blue and yellow charity ribbon in search results and in the item listing title along with the percentage of any donation.

At the completion of the auction the purchaser makes their payment in the normal manner and eBay make appropriate payments to the charity concerned .

This really is a simple way to run online charity auctions. It costs nothing to register your charity and once set up anyone can choose to donate eBay revenues to you. A simple email to your supporters database will have them scurrying to their attics to find "eBayable" bric a brac to sell for you. It really is a simple way to engage your supporters and get them working for your cause. The beauty of the programme of course is that it works from where-ever you are in the country and a supporter many miles away can still be making an active contribution to your fundraising.

Professional retailers who also operate an "e bay store' may also make donations to charities through the eBay for charity programme. Many have found making a percentage donation to charity (effectively a tithe), for instance a toy store donating 10% of the cost of all online purchases to a children's charity actually helps increase sales generally and is a very viable marketing exercise.

Tips to Successful Selling on MyeJar and Other Online Auctions

Some people think at selling their stuff on myejar, ebay, ubid, and all the other online auctions is really hard. You know you don't have to be a rocket scientist, a whiz kid, or even a copy writer. All you have to have is something to sell. It helps if you have a camera too. As the old adage says "a picture is worth a thousand words". Blurry pictures won't work so play with your camera. Learn how to take close ups with it. The better your pictures look, the better chance you have of getting a higher sale price.

Write the description of your item in your own voice. Don't try to make it fancy if you don't talk fancy. It works to just be yourself. My grammar is not always right (who'da guessed?!?). But I do have a spell checker that catches most of my most grievous errors (thankfully!) I don't use words that most people won't understand to try and describe my item.

If there is a chip on the cup by the handle, tell people. If the book has crinkled (okay wrinkled) pages, tell the buyer up front. If the hood of the car has a dozen bullet holes in it, tell the buyer! The time to tell them is NOT after the auction is over. If the book is in pristine (yes, I use that word!) shape, write it in your description. If there are flaws, try and get pictures of them, so there are no surprises when the buyer receives your item.

Think about what you would like to know about the item if you were the buyer. And then write your description from that.

Then launch your auction and wait. I don't know about you, but I would love it if bidding wars started as soon as my wonderful item hit myejar.com. Hasn't happened yet, but hey, I can dream! In other words, be patient. Normally, you will get few if any bids in the beginning. Don't panic. Many buyers wait until the last minute to make their bids. This is known as "sniping". I have had many of my items triple or quadruple in price in the last few seconds of the auction. Makes my heart go pitter-pat really fast when that happens. It doesn't happen every time but it is sure fun when it does!

Shipping and handling charges can really jack up the cost of the auction and you will have to pass them along to the buyer, so keep them reasonable. Consider charging only what it costs you to ship the item. Add the cost of packaging and labor into your starting price instead of passing it along at the end of the auction. Make sure to add the shipping charge in your listings. You'd want to know ahead of time and so do your bidders and buyers. You'd like to have bidders come back to you time after time and if you are fair and upfront with your shipping costs, they will come back. If you are adding packaging and labor at the end, let your buyers know. Most people realize that it costs the seller time and money to ship their items.

Don't forget your best bidders. Keep in touch with them. If you sell more of a particular type of product (antique nose thimbles or whatever) than anything else, then make a list of the people who has won your last auctions. Maybe set up an email list and keep in touch with them to alert them of a new product you're selling. Don't spam your buyers, get their permission before you add them to your mailing list. Even put in a link to your latest auction in the email for their convenience. Many times this will earn, not only favor in their eyes, but higher final values.

Advantages of the Online Auction Business Model

Online auctions have become a popular way for many people to make money. The online auction business model includes one party that sells products and services, while another party bids to purchase them.

There a number of advantages of this online auction business model. A few of them are listed below.

No geographical limitations: This is a strength of the online auction business model that is inherent by the fact that it is “online.” The Internet allows sellers and bidders to participate in online auctions from anywhere in the world. A seller in Japan can put up a doll on an online auction site that can be bid on by bidders that reside in the U.S. The “cost” of participating in an auction is essentially zero. This advantage also increases the number of products and services that can be listed, leading to an increased number of sellers and bidders.

No time constraints: Items can be posted on auction sites at any time of the day, and bids can be made on items any time of the day as well. And since items are listed for usually one to 10 days, potential bidders have a lot of time to ponder their bid.

Many bidders: Since online auctions allow for the potential to find a wide variety of items at lower-than-retail prices, it draws many consumers to try their hand at getting a bargain through an online auction. The ease of the bidding process also attracts consumers, who can bid from their computers in the comfort of their own home.

Many sellers: On the other hand, the potential to sell items at higher-than-retail prices also draws many sellers. Selling their items through online auctions also reduces their selling costs, and is also very simple and easy to do.

Joy of winning: Part of the fun pertaining to the entire bidding process is seeing whether or not you will “win” the auction and get the desired item. This aspect of the online auction process attracts many bidders who find the win just as rewarding as the

Online Auction Sites - Should You Look at Alternatives to eBay?

If you are new to the world of online auctions, you might have the impression that there is nothing but eBay. While eBay is massive and constantly advertises the fact that you can find "it" on eBay, there are other services available. Whether you are just setting out as an online seller, want to switch sites, or diversify your sales channel, it might be worthwhile to look at alternatives.

You should be aware, though, that using eBay has its advantages. It is much larger than its competitors (see http://www.powersellersunite.com/auctionsitewatch.php), which translates into an anormous amount of traffic. And it is a recognized brand that spends a lot on marketing.

However, eBay also has its disadvantages. The fees for sellers are relatively high, many categories have fierce price competition, and there are recurring technical glitches and dubious "improvements" (such as giving sellers overly optimistic arrival dates during the holiday shipping season).

Where can you find alternatives? Here are some URLs to get you started:
# http://theauctionboard.com/onlineauctions.html
# http://www.powersellersunite.com/about7.html

As you can see, there are numerous other sites out there. Before signing up with one (or several) of them, you should ask a few questions:
# How long has the site been in business? Who stands behind it?
# What is its fee structure, both for listing and final value fees?
# Which forms of payment can you accept on this site?
# How much activity is there in your product category?

The last question is particularly important. A low-cost or even free auction site will be useless for you, if there is little traffic in your category. Even a free listing costs you the time you need to create it!

Once you have answered these questions, you may decide to go with one of the established competitors (yahoo.com, overstock.com), choose a smaller site (bluejay.com, ecrater.com) or go for a niche site that specializes in such items as pinball machines (pinballmachines.com) or bead jewelry (justbeads.com). Of course there is always the option of building your own web store to sell your items.

Make Money Online With the Smart Auction

Make money online is the most common buzzword in the Internet Marketing World. There are literally dozens of online business opportunities around the world that pop up everyday. Many are legitimate and others are not. The exciting aspect of the medium of online business opportunities is this; anyone and everyone has an opportunity to do something they've never done before and succeed.

The question usually is, "Where do I start?". The easiest way to gather information is to run a search engine with the keywords that apply to your interests such as "online business opportunities, internet marketing opportunities, online health product opportunities, making money online, etc..."

One such online business opportunity that has popped up recently is the Smart Auction concept that has been sweeping Europe over the last year. One such company created a business model of a reverse auction where consumers can enter any auction for the cost of a credit. This credit is purchased for less than a dollar and enables one to see the current price of the item in the auction.

The items that are listed are brand new, brand name only items, the most recognizable brand names in the world. These items list all their features and specs (which most consumers already know due to manufacturer branding and advertising) but do not list the current price. Here's where the model gets interesting and anyone can make money online.

Unlike eBay the products aren't hand me downs from someones garage or basement but are brand new with full manufacturers warranties, etc... Secondly the price of the item in the auction starts at the full retail price and drops with every viewing of the current price. This one auction isn't a bidding auction but a viewing auction. By purchasing a credit and viewing the current price of an item the price drops 25 to 30 cents US. The more people that view the item price the more and faster it drops.

Eventually the item is at a price that is appealing enough for someone to buy it. So for the price of a few credits one has the opportunity to purchase a brand new brand name item for pennies on the dollar.

Wholesale Dropship Warehouse Company Suppliers For Online Auctions And Discount Resellers

A wholesale dropship company or warehouse is a unique concept that is catching the internet by storm. If you want to stock your online store or sell stuff on eBay or want to appear as a discount reseller but not have to stock your own warehouse then partnering with a dropship company that offers near wholesale prices is necessary to succeed with your online business or web site.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of wholesale dropship companies on the internet. Many claim to be wholesale suppliers and they are not if they can not offer the same wholesale price that the company that manufactures the product. A good company will have prices close to wholesale. The reason for this is the wholesale manufacturer will need to have an account with you and a tax ID. You will also usually need to buy in bulk to get those wholesale prices not to mention a warehouse to store them the product in.

So a dropship supplier will be sending the product for you and shipping it to an address you specify and the package or product will look like it came from your own warehouse. They can handle the returns for you. It will cost the company time to package, cost of materials so of course and they will pass this cost on to you.

If you want the rock bottom prices that a dropship company can offer you will need to research very thoroughly. Don't waste your time looking for a wholesale list many are outdated or not updated and it will cost you not only the price of the list but your valuable time.

The best way to find products is through a reputable dropship directory. This list of products is endless, apparel, jewelry, soy candles, surveillance equipment, lingerie or just about anything you can think of. When you use a directory you usually have a ways to search for the lowest prices and there may be several results returned back showing the companies that have the product along with the cost.

The Drawback With Online Auctions - Art Market Insight

Auctions are current pastime on the Internet. However, in no way is the appeal comparable to the excitement that reigns in brick-and-mortar sales rooms. Whoever attended a real auction room will agree to that the web alternative is a weak alternative. There are somewhat parallel feelings about reading print on paper and reading pixels on screens. The real thing feels so much better but on-line it's unquestionably more efficient. This, however, is not the most decisive difference.

Virtual auctions on the Internet are void of excitement because the most attractive feature of the auction mechanism is radically changed. Whereas traditional auctions are immediate and fought out on the spur of the moment, web auctions are lame substitutes because of the pre-defined and uncompromising ending hour. 'Impulsive bidding' is impossible, i.e. decisions in the last instance, when the bidder sees his own maximum surpassed. To go ahead at the crucial moment is however natural seen that the market value is established at that very instant.

Long distance participation in auctions has a long history. The side booths of major sales rooms are still crowded with middlemen bidding for absent parties. When closely following auction sales room action, one can't help to remark the low efficiency of telephone relaying. On-line bidding has recently begun to compliment the conventional triangular traffic between the floor, the telephone bidders and the auctioneer, handling his absentee bids. To be as present as possible in the action is of course what every collector needs and this is the reason why complimentary Internet bidding is gaining ground.

To counter the drawback of virtual auctions some have tried live auctions on the Internet and the most known attempt is without doubt eBay Live. The recent announcement of the imminent cessation of eBay's live auction activity will certainly not discourage other players to enter this difficult market. The problem with eBay-live was their inability to transcribe the real live auction excitement to the screen. Their solution was an almost immobile interface lacking in dynamism and missing in everything that calls up the real auction thrill. It is the hammering that makes all the difference in a live situation; and the hammering moment is everything in auctions. Until the real live sales atmosphere can be recreated on the web, i.e. until virtual auctioneers will be able to feel 'the temperature of the virtual room', real-life auctions in material venues will have the favour with the public.

Online Auctions For the Best Smartphone and PDA Deals

Are you planning to purchase a personal data assistant such as Palm TX or a smartphone? While you can purchase them from local retail stores, you probably will not get a discount on your purchase. One way that you can get the best PDA deals is to use online auction sites. However, you need to follow a few guidelines in order to make a good purchase.

Research retail prices for the item that you want. Some auctions are listed at retail or even more. Then, research the selling prices for completed auctions for the items that you are interested in. Make sure to note the condition of the product sold as this can greatly affect the price. This will give you an idea of the going rate for the item on that particular site.

Shipping prices vary. Do not bid if the shipping amount is not listed, or you may get a nasty surprise when you win. You can either email the seller for the cost, or only choose to deal with those that either quote a flat rate or provide a shipping calculator. Check also which shipping service is being used as you may not want an expensive item sent by first class mail or worse, have to wait weeks because a budget shipping method was used

Before placing a bid, check the feedback. You want to choose someone who has a high feedback rating. Although a negative here or there is to be expected especially with those who do a large volume of sales, the overall score should be high. Make sure that the seller has sold a number of items, preferably over 100, so you have some assurance that they are not fly-by-night. Also, look if the feedback is mostly from purchases rather than sales. Some unscrupulous people will buy a bunch of products to get a good rating and then turn around and rip people off when they list their own items.

If you are uncomfortable making a large purchase online, escrow services are available. These serve as a middleman between you and the lister so that you have some assurance that you will receive what you bought.

Online Auctions Can Make You Some Easy Fast Cash

Good Opportunities Online

There are opportunities to sell things from your home and online auction sites. Do you have additional furniture or old items sitting around doing nothing? You can sell these easily on online auction sites.

How About Stripping a Car?

Have you ever thought of buying an old car for a few hundred dollars and selling it piece by piece. If you are handy with cars this is an excellent opportunity to make some good money.

You could purchase a car that is no longer suitable for road use and sell the parts off it. You could even say buyer to remove - for the large items to save you the hassle of having to take it apart. Choose the correct car and you could easily double your money.

Garage and Yard Sales Have Bargains Galore

What about buying things from a garage sale? You can easily find bargains at garage sales and sell them on online auction sites. Look for large items like fridges and furniture and negotiate hard when you buy them. Then list them for a $1 reserve and watch people fight over the items.

List Your Items For a $1 Starting Price

If you have listed your item for a $1 starting price and after a few days there is limited interest you should change your reserve to a higher price otherwise someone might end up buying it for $1.

There are significant opportunities to sell things on online auction sites and make some great cash. Another idea is to find a website the sells goods in bulk at a wholesale price. You may buy six or ten items of the same thing and then list them individually.

You could easily make %20 on your outlay. It is a matter of looking at how to list your item, checking the competition and then trying to be clever about how to add value to your products.

Use Clever Ways to Increase Your Profit

You could increase the postage cost and leave the actual cost of the item low so that you cover some of the cost of the item in the postage. This is a good way to ensure you get a good profit from your item you are selling. Just ensure you have covered your postage cost and you know accurately how much it is going to cost.

How To Turn Trash Into Cash With Online Auctions

When your broke you tend to be more resourceful and creative and put more effort into making things happen with next to nothing than when your rich. You do what you have to do.

When online auctions became popular people started opening up their drawers to find items to list that would allow them to cash in and make some money. In this article we'll look at some things you can do to make some money with online auctions. This article is not about the technical steps to make the money or what buttons to push on the computer, this is the practical meat and potatoes of using online auctions to supplement your income or make a living.

First, if you want to make money you need items to sell. Many people don't know where or how to get started and they don't know what people want or what they'd be willing to pay for the items.

Let's open up some cabinets and drawers and look in thrift shops on the dollar racks for some of these items. Step one, let's find some items that other people will probably be interested in. Let's start with sports related items. The easiest sports items are items of clothing such as caps, t-shirts, or jackets. The philosophy I adopted about sports related items is that if there's a team, and let's stick to major teams in major leagues, if there's a sport and a team, there's a fan somewhere interested in the collectible items from the team.

When someone loves a team, it's easy for them to consider buying a team-related item. So, how can you make money when team related items can be so expensive. You have to find the team related items cheap or be willing to part with the ones you already have in your drawers. Where do you go to find items for pennies on a dollar? Easy- head to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift shops. Many thrift shops have bargain racks with t-shirts for $1 or $2. I have had a wonderful time playing a game every week to see how much money I could make with $20.

What would happen if you purchased 20 tshirts connected to major sports and teams and you paid $20 for the tshirts. Then, what if you asked $9.99 for each shirt and turned the $20 into close to $200. Would you be happy. If the answer is " Yes," do it or do something. What if every week you could have this extra supplement from selling online? Do it.

Another fun collectible item can be glassware. We're not going to talk about the fancy crystal in this article. Let's consider some items that might be in the kitchen cabinets or at a yard sale or thrift shop.
Glassware with logos from various soda or pop companies depending on where you're from and which word you use.

Glassware commemorating movies, tv shows, or music groups can also be in demand. It's not unusual to go to a yard sale and find things which have been in people's cabinets or drawers for ten to forty years. Now they're moving and it's finally time to let the items go. Yes right into your hands and right online into your auctions. Good luck.

Online Auction Sites Can Bring You Cash Fast

What you can do is sell things online on an online auction site.

So many people are viewing these sites every day, so it is an easy audience for you. You could be making some money within a few days. Think about all the things around your house you no longer use. You could literally be sitting on a gold mine. As they say 'one persons' junk is another person's treasure is so true when it comes to online auction websites.

That old fridge downstairs will get some good dollars online. Or even the old couch or cupboards that you no longer use. Really - what's the point of it sitting around your house if you are not using it. You could easily get some cash for it and then put this cash on your home loan or car loan or whatever.

Then you could branch out to finding stuff from yard sales and garage sales and sell the items you find online on some of the large online auction sites. You can make some great money doing this.

What about selling things at your local market? Usually it is very cheap to set up a stall and sell your things. What about having your own garage sale? A lot of local papers allow you to advertise for free for yards sales or at a discounted rate. You could easily make the cost of the ad back in the first sale.

Online Antique Auctions

According to strict definitions, antiques are objects that have collectible value and that are more than 100 years old. There are a number of auction sites that sell antiques online. Some sites specialize in items from a particular historical period, while others offer a wider range of antiques. While some online auction houses have stellar reputations, a specialist may better serve a new buyer with specific interests. A major advantage of online auctions is that prices for a particular antique tend to be lower than they might be in an antique store or show. However, not being able to see and assess an antique for signs of authenticity can be a drawback.

How can one determine authenticity? It is important to research online auction sites and to find one that enjoys a good reputation. Experienced buyers share certain tips, such as asking for close-up photographs of the base of an object. Even if carefully maintained, most antique objects show some wear and tear at the base. However, in the case of ceramics and glassware, chips can reduce the value of the antique.

To assess if a fair price is being asked, compare the price to that quoted by online auction guides for similar antiques that have recently been auctioned. These guides are usually helpful tools to estimate the value of an antique for both buyers and sellers. Sites should also offer a full refund if you end up with a reproduction instead of the real thing. Some sites only offer refunds for a limited period, but this should give you enough time to have the item appraised. As an alternative, paying a little extra to have an antique appraised before purchasing it online is well worth the cost and the knowledge that what you are buying is genuine.

Online Auctions and Your Business

Online auctions have been in existence for many years in the Internet. Sites like Yahoo Auctions and eBay have many buyers and sellers that come together in agreement of the goods that are being offered for sale. These auction websites can be a powerful medium in which businesses can take advantage of. Participating in auctions will help reduce the excess inventory of retail stores. It will be a venue in which the companies will be able to get rid of their old stocks and other items that were pulled out from their stores. These items can be purchased at a lower price than from the retail outlet. Auction sites have become venues for businesses to quickly move their products effectively.

Other companies might have considered creating their own auction sites but this doesn't apply to all businesses. Companies must utilize the services of existing auction sites because they already contain a large customer base. There are also other smaller sites that offer few categories. A certain business might try auctioning items on these sites to know the results. In evaluating the auction sites, businesses must see to it that the site provides insurance for the transactions of both the buyers and the sellers. They might also provide a service that will hold on to the payment of the buyer until the goods have been received.

Businesses might want to check on the payment that the site provides to assist sellers in cases where buyers pay for the goods using their credit cards. There are other sites that have business to business transactions that offer financing as a payment option. An increasing number of sites provide options of deducting from the credit card account of the buyer to be deposited to the account of the seller. A good auction site offer additional services that will help manage auctions and also provide support online. They have also a feedback system that will show to all the positive or negative rating of both buyers and sellers.

Finding the right auction site that will best fit your type of business and budget should be carefully evaluated as auction sites should help businesses in the movement of their stocks. Auction sites are tools to generate additional sales. It is best if at the initial stages of the business, popular and established sites must be used.

Best Online Auctions

Everyone loves to shop; the only real difference is what you like to buy and where. Online shopping has changed our market economy and commerce in general, as more people search for bargains and sale items on the Web. Online auctions are also an alternative to strip mall suburbia and the need to battle it out at your local mega-mall.

What is an online auction? Ok, we know you immediately get a mental image of an old-fashioned gathering, complete with bidders sticking dollar bills in the air as an auctioneer with a Colgate smile gushes over an item everyone wants to get their hands on. On the contrary, online auctions let the average Joe search and place bids on anything imaginable. You can also sell all those old clothes and gadgets piling up in your garage. eBay is one of the most prominent online auctions, as they invented this pop culture and economic icon.

6StarReviews.com reports that eBay not only acts as a vessel for millions of auctions, they are changing the way Internet business is implemented. While some are wary of online shopping because of those scandals you hear about on CNN most every evening, eBay takes charge in offering its buyers and sellers protection against scams.

Although it’s virtually impossible to eliminate all corrupt activity, eBay’s Buyer Protection program allows its community to police itself through seller history, ratings and feedback from previous customers. Lose on a bid? eBay keeps you posted with email alerts and similar auctions you may be interested in joining.

Online auctions allow the more daring shopper to navigate a world of products they may never find at Best Buy or even a local flea market. For those whose basements need a good cleaning, what better way to begin than signing up on an online auction and making cash on would-be trash? With the magnitude of online auction options, anyone can find what they’re looking for.

6 Ways to Maximize Profits at Your One Stop Online Auction Shop

Online auctions have become very popular in recent years. They are great for finding bargains on all sorts of items. Many people shop auctions to find brand names at bargain prices, household items or even wholesale products. Some auction sites are actually one stop online auction shops that sell everything from antiques to automobiles while other sites specialize in only one type of product.

Earn Profits

There are several ways to earn profits through online auctions. You can build an entire business through online auctions or use auctions to attract new customers to your existing website. And, you can use online auctions occasionally to sell some of your old household items. You can even advertise wholesale products through auctions. Some online "auctioneers" are earning thousands of dollars each month!

Either way, there are a few simple techniques you can apply to maximize your auction profits. Choosing your one stop online auction shop is only the first step to success. Next, you'll need to start building your business.

1. Include Photos

One way to maximize auction profits is to include photos with your listings. Most auction sites allow one photo to be displayed next to listing titles. It's very important that you include a photo to catch the shopper's eye. People naturally look at pictures and then read the nearby caption. Newspapers and magazines have trained us that way. So, it's understandable why an auction shopper will look at photos and then read the titles beside the photos. Unfortunately, listing titles without photos can be easily missed.

Another reason to include photos is because auction buyers want to see what they are buying. They are more willing to trust a new seller if a photo of the item is available. If you are selling an expensive item, include several photos at different angles if necessary. For printed materials such as reports or e-books, you might try creating a few colorful banners and even a mini banner for the photo that will appear next to your listing titles. Banners will have the same eye-catching effect as a photo!

2. Write Compelling Listing Titles and Copy

Don't be afraid to apply proven marketing techniques to your auction titles and copy. You're a seller, so don't hesitate to sell! Use key phrases that will get the buyer's attention. Words like "free," "no reserve," "low or free shipping," or "like new" always get the buyer's attention.

3. Use Banners at Your Website

If you own a website and are using auctions to attract more customers, don't forget to place some banners at your website that link to your auction store as well. Some customers who reach your site by other means might love auctions. They might buy from you both ways!

4. Don't Under-price your Items

Not many sellers have a problem with over-pricing, but under-pricing seems to be a huge problem with auctions. Don't sell yourself short. Price your items reasonably, but be sure to include a little profit for yourself. Remember, your time is valuable. If you ship items, you must take time to package and mail them. If the items you are selling offer very little profit, try to find popular items with higher profits that are also unique. The more scarce the supply of a popular item, the higher bids you will receive.

5. Keep Contact with Customers

Be sure to keep in contact with your auction customers after they buy. Send them a personal "thank you" email and include an email signature to get them back to your auction site or to your regular website. An email signature is actually a "P.S." after your thank you message.

Here's an example...

P.S. Be sure to visit our auction site again. Some new items have been added recently, and you will receive FREE SHIPPING with your next purchase. (Your auction site address here.)

6. Ask for Feedback

Be sure to ask for feedback after someone makes a purchase. Good feedback helps other buyers to trust you. Some buyers will not buy from a new seller if no feedback is available. The more positive feedback you receive, the more your business will grow.

Keep these tips in mind as you list items at your one stop online auction shop. You'll see profits increase in no time!

Buying an Auction Software - Make Your Online Auctions Easier to Manage

The popularity of auction sites like eBay has grown steadily such that some people now sell in the and use their profits as their main source of income. Unlike casual sellers or buyers on the site, these individuals constantly list, sell or pack products for the website. If you a serious eBay user just like them, then you can benefit a lot from using an auction software to help you organize your online auction store activities.

Picking the right software

Before making any purchase, buyers like yourself should assess online auction business activities to see what needs help or what needs to be improved. This is to make sure that the software that you will purchase is exactly what you need.

You may need either one of these two types (among many other types of auction software):

Market Analysis Programs – These applications provide an overall portrait of shopping and pricing behavior. It alerts you when your competitors are slashing rates for similar products, for example.

Auction Marketing Programs – There are also programs that help sellers like you advertise and market products. One program even allows sellers to post all the items they are selling on one page. This makes it easier for buyers to view all products, and provides you an easier way to quickly update your inventory.

Tips when buying an auction software

Aside from discovering what your business needs, there are other things to consider before purchasing an auction software:

1. Assess your computer’s capabilities, operating system, memory etc. to make sure that it can run the software you are buying.

2. Make a test run of a program using its trial version. The auction software trial version usually last for 30 days (sometimes less). This is ample time for you to assess its pro’s and con’s.

Buying Government Seized Properties at Online Auctions

Just about everyday the government agencies across the country seize all manner of personal property because of foreclosure, tax evasion, and criminal activities. These government agencies recover much of their costs for performing these seizures and the associated administrative costs by auctioning off these properties at highly discounted prices.

So how does one of these online government auctions work? Much like a regular auction with the one exception that you do not have to attend in person. The online auction is a relatively new phenomenon but government agencies across the country have seized upon this idea simply for the fact that it reduces the costs. These savings are then passed onto the auction participants in even lower prices for the good offered.

The advantage of using an online auction service for those who wish to participate is the ease of looking through the items being offered, doing research on those items and ultimately bidding from the comfort of home. Winning the auction is much like attending one in person, to the highest bidder goes the spoils. Most of these auctions do have a reserve prices set for each item. This is to ensure that at the least all the administrative costs of the auction are met.

If you do choose to participate in an online government auction here are some of the seized properties you can expect to find.

1. All manner of vehicles - if you are thinking of buying a new car you will find no better deal then at a seizure auction. You will find cars, truck, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, and even aircraft that have been seized for a variety of reasons. Most are less then two years old and are in good to great condition and bought at significant savings.

2. Real estate - People and businesses that default on loans or owe back taxes can find their properties seized and put up for auction. You can bid on single family homes of all sizes, vacant land, vacation homes, condominiums, or anything else the government may have in its possession. You may even find hotels, bars, restaurants, ranches and other commercial real estate up for auction.

3. Clothes, jewelry, and household goods - In the case of those involved in criminal activities government law enforcement agencies will seize anything and everything that is connected with and purchased because of criminal activities. This includes furniture, kitchen items, designer clothing and jewelry.

4. Art collections and antiques - You will also find one of a kind art pieces, whether they be paintings or sculptures. Antique furniture, cars, and rugs among other things will also be up for sale.

As you can see you can bid on and purchase just about anything you need at an online auction of government seized properties. Not only will you find what you are looking for you also stand to save a good chunk of money, unless of course you would rather just pay retail.

Find What You're Looking For in an Online Auction

If you're limited on cash but really need a vehicle, what are your options? Scouring the used car lots seems to turn up a lot of overpriced junk. You might find a pretty good deal, but when you take it home and it turns out to be a lemon, you're stuck with four years worth of car payments for a useless heap. So what is a person to do in this stagnant economy? One of the best ways to find great deals on used cars and more is by perusing online auctions.

Online auctions provide a wide variety of products at prices that can't be beat. Look around at a few online auctions and see for yourself how low the prices are. Buying a relatively new used car is affordable for anyone, as long as they know how to find the right auction.

Online auctions aren't limited to automobiles, though. Perusing a few auctions shows you how many products are available. Are you a home recording enthusiast? You can beef up your home studio with microphones, digital audio workstations and top-of-the-line tube preamps for a fraction of the cost. Perhaps you have other hobbies that you want to invest in, but don't have the money to buy everything new. Whether you're a model train collector or a dog lover, online auctions have something that you'll be interested in for a relatively inexpensive price.

Personally, I'm searching for a nice laptop computer so that I can work wherever I go, but I don't want to pay for a new one. Since discovering the beauty of online auctions, I've been able to buy a high-quality computer that works great. It's only two steps down from the current leader in processing speed, and it has a hard drive large enough to hold all of my business files, my entire music library and even a film or two. It's great, and I bought it for a quarter of its original price.

Online auctions work similar to live auctions. A minimum price has to be met, and a deadline is set for the auction to end. People bid on the item, outbid each other and the lucky winner gets the prize. If you fail to win the auction, don't despair. There are often multiple items on the same auction ticket. If not, keep checking the website to see when another auction is posted with the same item.

In general, shipping and handling are pre-arranged and listed with the item. Sometimes, in the case of larger auctions, the item is pick-up only. For example, if you buy a piano in an auction, the shipping and handling would be very expensive, so you typically have to pick it up. Make sure that you understand the terms before you bid. Also, make sure that you know how payment is accepted, whether it's through an online service, COD or check.

From watch collectors to shoe collectors, online auctions contain something for everyone. If you're on a tight budget or just like to shop around, online auctions can provide what you desire and save you money at the same time. Keep looking and happy bidding.
